# Teaching agreement — adaptable template

**And:** {Student full name}, {address} ("the Student")

## 1. Scope

The Teacher will provide language lessons in {target language} as agreed
between the parties. The format (one-to-one, group, online, in-person) and
the schedule are agreed in advance and managed through the Teacher's
booking platform.

## 2. Sessions and credits

- Each booked session counts as one credit from the Student's active
  package.
- Sessions last {duration} minutes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The Teacher confirms each session via the platform; the Student is
  responsible for joining on time using the link / location provided.

## 3. Cancellations and rescheduling

- Cancellations and reschedules requested **more than {N} hours** before
  the session do not consume the credit.
- Cancellations made **less than {N} hours** before the session consume
  the credit (late cancel).
- No-shows by the Student consume the credit.
- If the **Teacher** cancels for any reason, the credit is released back
  to the Student and the Teacher offers a reschedule.

## 4. Payments

- Packages must be paid in full before the first session.
- Payment is processed through {Stripe / bank transfer / cash}.
- Invoices are issued through the platform and reflect the date the
  package was purchased.
- Refunds: unused credits are refundable up to {N} days from purchase,
  minus a {X}% admin fee. After that, refunds are at the Teacher's
  discretion.

## 5. Materials and IP

- Materials prepared by the Teacher remain the Teacher's intellectual
  property. The Student may use them for personal study; they may not be
  redistributed.
- Material the Student creates (homework, written work) belongs to the
  Student.

## 6. Conduct

Both parties agree to communicate respectfully and on time. Either party
may terminate the agreement with {N} days' notice. Unused credits at
termination are refunded according to the rules in §4.

## 7. Data protection

The Teacher processes the Student's personal data (name, email, phone,
session history) solely to provide the lessons and run the business.
Data is stored on {your platform} and shared only with service providers
required to deliver the service (e.g. Stripe for payments, Google
Calendar for scheduling). The Student may request export or erasure at
any time.

## 8. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of {jurisdiction}. Any disputes
will be resolved in good faith between the parties before any legal step.
